Thomas Jefferson University will establish a four-year regional campus of Sidney Kimmel Medical College in downtown Allentown.
The expansion aims to increase access to medical education while strengthening the healthcare workforce throughout the Lehigh Valley.
The new campus will occupy more than 54,000 square feet at One Center Square. Additionally, the project will feature newly constructed educational space designed for medical training.
The announcement builds on Jefferson’s continued investment in the Lehigh Valley. In 2024, the university expanded its regional presence through the acquisition of Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Today, Jefferson operates 33 hospital campuses across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The growing network continues to support the organization’s long-term healthcare and educational initiatives.
The new medical school campus further strengthens downtown Allentown as a destination for healthcare and institutional investment. Moreover, the project is expected to generate ongoing economic activity while supporting workforce development.
