ArchWell Health, a Nashville-based primary care provider for seniors, has entered the Philadelphia market. The company has opened three health centers and plans to launch five more this year.
ArchWell focuses on Medicare Advantage members. The company operates 86 centers across 13 states, with Pennsylvania becoming its newest market.
The first Philadelphia locations are operating in former Rite Aid properties. Sites include 6201 Germantown Avenue, 2131 North Broad Street, and 6101 North Broad Street. ArchWell is leasing each building.
Additional centers are planned across the city. Locations on Cottman Avenue in Tacony and Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia are expected to open in April.
Later this year, new centers are planned for Baltimore Avenue in Cobbs Creek, Aramingo Avenue in Bridesburg, and Red Lion Road in Modena Park.
Each facility ranges from 8,000 to 12,000 square feet. Centers include 15 to 20 exam rooms and can serve 2,000 to 3,000 patients annually.
The expansion reflects growing demand for neighborhood-based senior healthcare. It also highlights continued reuse of former pharmacy properties across Philadelphia.
